Bringing the Red Carpet to Life

Big Night Out, an event presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Arizona, brought together guests and supporters for an evening centered around the organization's mission.

For three consecutive years, from 2021 through 2023, Two Second Media was engaged to produce the event's red carpet experience.

Our responsibility was focused specifically on the pre-event red carpet production, creating an engaging, professionally produced program that captured the excitement of arriving guests and the atmosphere leading into the main event.

The production combined live hosting, multiple cameras, mobile video production technology, custom graphics, and promotional content into one coordinated experience.

Two Hosts, Multiple Perspectives

The red carpet production featured two hosts working in complementary roles.

One host was stationed on the red carpet, interviewing guests as they arrived and capturing the energy of the event's arrivals.

A second host moved throughout the gathering crowd, connecting with attendees and bringing additional perspectives into the program.

This approach allowed the production to move beyond a traditional fixed-position interview setup.

Rather than relying exclusively on conversations at the red carpet, the program could shift between guest arrivals and the broader atmosphere of the event, creating a more varied and dynamic presentation.

A Three-Camera Live Production

To support the two-host format, our team designed and operated a three-camera production.

Two cameras provided coverage of the designated production areas, while a third wireless camera could move freely through the crowd.

The roaming camera was particularly important to the production's flexibility, allowing the crew to follow the mobile host, capture candid moments, and bring viewers closer to the activity happening beyond the red carpet.

Professional audio and lighting supported the interviews and camera coverage, helping maintain a consistent presentation across the different shooting positions.

Coordinating multiple cameras, hosts, audio sources, and live production elements required a centralized technical workflow.

Our Mobile Control Room

At the center of the production was Two Second Media's mobile control room, which served as the technical booth for the red carpet program.

The mobile system provided a dedicated control environment for coordinating the camera feeds, audio, and visual elements used throughout the production.

From this position, our crew managed the live presentation, transitioning between camera positions, incorporating graphics, and coordinating the coverage as guests arrived and the hosts moved throughout the event.

The mobile control room made it possible to bring a coordinated, multi-camera production workflow directly to the event rather than relying on a permanent studio environment.

Creating a Branded Red Carpet Experience

Beyond filming and technical operation, Two Second Media also developed custom visual content for the event.

Our team created animations and graphics used throughout the red carpet production, helping establish a cohesive presentation that reflected Big Night Out and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Arizona.

We also produced promotional video spots for the organization, which aired during the red carpet program.

These videos added another dimension to the production by integrating the organization's own messaging into the live event coverage.

Together, the live interviews, roaming camera coverage, branded visual elements, and promotional spots created a program that was both entertaining and connected to the organization behind the event.

Three Years of Production Partnership

Two Second Media returned to produce the Big Night Out red carpet experience in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Across those three annual events, our responsibility remained focused on the red carpet production, providing the hosts, camera coverage, technical infrastructure, audio, lighting, graphics, and promotional content needed to deliver the program.

The relationship demonstrates our ability to provide a specialized production within a larger event.

An organization may already have its venue, event planner, staging, and main program arranged, but still need a dedicated team to create a professional red carpet experience.

For Big Brothers Big Sisters of Arizona, Two Second Media provided that specialized capability: a coordinated, television-style production designed specifically for the event's pre-show coverage.

The Big Night Out project illustrates an important part of our approach to event production.

Not every client needs us to produce an entire event. Sometimes the greatest value comes from taking responsibility for one specific element and delivering it as a complete production.

For Big Night Out, that element was the red carpet.
